Its luxurious look boasts of an excellent screen and a very comfortable keypad which means that the user will not have to strain his finger to handle it. Also contains 4-way navigation with select key, two soft keys, send and end keys, volume keys which can also provide facilities as zoom keys. The handset consists of everything starting from an excellent sound quality to the best camera in the nokia family. This makes it stand apart amongst all the nokia phones. It is slightly bigger than the Nokia 6280 and is also a bit heavy due to its metal finish. Nevertheless it is brilliantly compact.

The Nokia 6270 weighs 125g measuring 104 x 50 x 23 mm, 104 cc. It is operated by GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 having automatic switching between the bands. It supports 3rd generation series 40 user interface. It connects with Bluetooth wireless technology version 2.0, Pop-Port interface, Infrared, USB connectivity to PC via Pop-Port interface, Easy remote or local synchronization with a PC or other compatible devices and support for SIM Access Profile (SAP).

Considering the display and user interface, the Nokia 6270 enables the user to enjoy an Active colour display with up to 262,144 colours, enhanced and colourful series 40 user interface. The screen quality of the phone is awesome!

The FM stereo radio, MP3/AAC/MP4 formats, Integrated video player-3GPP, H.263 video MPEG-4, AMR video encoding and playback in QCIF format with sound, AAC/MP3 tracks for ringing, game, alert tones and also MIDI/polyphonic tones add to the stereo speakers with 3D sound effects. The user can listen to music and download songs with the help of visual radio.

Moving on to the camera, the Nokia 6270 consists of an Integrated 2 megapixel camera, integrated LED camera flash 5x digital zoom, Full-screen viewfinder, Landscape camera mode, Direct printing of pictures to compatible printers through USB cable, Video recording for more than one hour depending upon the memory i.e up to 5 MB internal memory available for audio, video, files and other documents plus a 512 MB miniSD card.

The Nokia 6270 facilitates with audio messaging which will help the user to record his own voice and send to compatible devices. The OMS MMS 1.2 plays a vital role in sending and receiving messages up to 300 kb. For text messaging, the handset supports concatenated SMS, picture messaging, SMS distribution list. It will prove to be very simple for the user to access his work and private email accounts via SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4.

In the field of entertainment for youngsters, the Nokia 6270 is no less in providing games namely 3D snake and more. With regard to Java applications it helps with over the air download of Java based applications and games and Java MIDP 2.0.

The handset makes it available for push to talk over cellular network through dedicated key, Real-time one-to-one and one-to-many voice communication. The phone however possesses certain demerits. It rarely hangs whilst scrolling and the camera quality is not upto the mark. It also has a poor music player.

  The Nokia handset obviously contains the basic facilities like call management with enhanced voice dialing, automatic amswer, call waiting, call hold, call divert, call timer, conference call and logs which keeps a record of all the missed, received and dialed calls. The Voice features being enhanced voive dialing, voice recorder, integrated handsfree stereo speakers and voice commands. To add on to these, the handset helps with alarm clock, stopwatch, countdown timer, currency converter and calculator.

Thus, the Nokia 6270 is a piece that is worth its price. The excellent screen, comfy keypad and the good battery life which is very rare in the nokia handsetsoverpower the demerits.
